Pilar of Fire / KPOF Open House

The Pillar of Fire and KPOF has their open house on Saturday, for not promoting it outside of the radio station they did have a pretty good turn out for the rare opportunity to get inside of the building.

Pictures of the surrounding building as well as the interior of the main building were taken and have been Incorporated into the Google Map. Please see the Flickr Feed for more pictures!

Updates

I did find some information about Westminster University College of Medicine. It was an effort to add protege to the University, located near 15th and Larimer in Denver, and operated from 1902? to 1909. In 1907 it absorbed Denver Homeopathic Medical College, which has a an interesting alumni member. This was operated in the same extent as Westminster University Law School that lasted until 1930, and then absorbed by DU.

Question Time!

I have been working on the Pillar of Fire project for just short of a month now, and I have ran into a couple of questions that I am running into a dead end on. Does anyone have any information on the "Colorado Military College," or "Westminster University College of Medicine?" Or anything about H.J. Mayham, who was the developer who was developing the land for the University.

Above advertisement is from Colorado Magazine, 1893.

I do have another question about land ownership of the area during the 1920's dealing with a major Denver political figure that had questionable ties. Does anyone have any ideas to find land ownership records, I have contacted Adams Co., with no leads-

Back up and going!

OK, so I am working on an older Dell laptop- say seven years old, but it still works! For the last several months I have been cramped on space, getting errors from AutoCAD, and Photoshop. So it was time to clean it all off and start from scratch, right- Reloading it isn't an issue, I normally do it every couple of years, this time I was going to kick it over with Vista. It meets the requirements- After a solid week of running updates, I was back were I started. So lets kick it back over again, and finally everything is back up! CAD, Photoshop, and all the rest of the goodies are back to where they should have been a week ago!

Now the problem is I am well over a week behind on touching up the pics!

Old Town Drafting

My name is Justin Price, and I am the owner / founder of Old Town Drafting. Old Town Drafting has been incorporated for five years specializing in architectural and civil drafting, but is open to drawing under specialties. 15 years ago I started pursuing a career in these fields, and have been integrating the new 3D drafting methods with the traditional 2D and manual drafting.

My passions are architecture, drafting, history, photography, and design.

The collation of the new and old architecture, history and preserving the present moment are all moments that are important to us and our communities.
